Rhonda Pryor, Myths and Legends 2
Invisible Structures poeticises the unfixed state of both memory and photography; residues of experience upon which identities and histories are built. The exhibition of mixed-media assemblages encourages viewers to consider personal histories; how we establish truth and create meaning, and how these (mis)interpretations might inform our perceptions of, and in, the future.
Rhonda Pryor holds a Master of Fine Art from Sydney College of the Arts. Her two most recent solo exhibitions, Timepiece (2021) and Equivalence (2020), took place at AIRspace Projects in Sydney. Her work has been selected as a finalist in, among others, the North Sydney, Grace Cossington Smith, Fisher’s Ghost, and Blacktown City Art Prizes. She has undertaken artist residencies at Bundanon, Gunyah, Willoughby Historical Museum, and the Coal Loader Centre for Sustainability, and with the support of the Australian Council for the Arts and the Copyright Agency, a Japanese Textile Workshops residency in the Kanagawa Prefecture in Japan.
