Explore the big issues confronting us by traversing the minefield of 21st century living. Sessions will each target an existential concern .

What are the big issues confronting us as individuals and as a society today? Is it personal safety, cost of living, an identity crisis, the impact of wars? This ten-week course will traverse the minefield of 21st century living. Each session will target an existential concern which will be unpacked by the tutor and then opened to debate. Join us in this fascinating exploration into the Big Issues which currently challenge us.


If you are interested in history, politics, philosophy and stimulating, thought provoking discussion of complex issues......... this is the course for you.

Dates: 15 October to 17 December 2024 (every Tuesday morning for 10 weeks).

Each week is a new topic so it doesn't matter if you miss a session.

This in-person course will be held at the Cultural Hub, Woollahra Gallery at Redleaf.

Welcome to the Woollahra Philosophy Club where all things of a philosophical nature are considered. Listen and learn, discuss and debate. Hosted by Woollahra Council, in partnership with the Workers’ Educational Association (WEA) Sydney, we invite you to participate. It’s fun, it’s friendly, it’s fulfilling – it’s philosophical!

There is a public car park located at Cross Street, Double Bay. If you are arriving via UBER or TAXI please request a drop or collection at the Council Chambers.
