Dive into a world of creativity with internationally acclaimed artist Kirsty Kross.

In this unique 90-minute workshop participants will create their own handcrafted Neon Reef Mask.

Drawing inspiration from the rich colours of Australian flora and fauna, as well as the neon brilliance of Great Barrier Reef sea creatures, participants will use a variety of mixed media to craft a vibrant artwork.

During the workshop, Kirsty will share insights into her artistic practice which fuses costume, masks and performance art. Attendees will explore the role of masks in different cultures and history. They will explore how masks create an air of mystery and magic and their relevance in today’s social media-driven world. Kirsty will also introduce her upcoming community performance at Woollahra Gallery, encouraging participants to join the free event.

By the end of the workshop, participants will leave with a custom-designed mask perfect for the festive season, along with a deeper understanding of how art can reflect personal and environmental narratives.
