In celebration of Women’s History Month, join us for a unique life drawing session at Woollahra Gallery at Redleaf this March. Facilitated by artist Alice Palmer, this session will explore the works of Australian female Modernist Masters, with participants drawing a scene inspired by these historic masterpieces. The evening will also feature a live performance by a harp player, creating a soothing and inspiring atmosphere.
Life drawing is a fantastic way to observe and interpret the human form, and this class offers an opportunity to draw from a historical perspective. You’ll be sketching poses inspired by renowned Australian female artists, allowing you to explore both classical techniques and the influence of women in art history. The session will start with quick gesture drawings to warm up, followed by longer poses for more detailed work. Alice Palmer will provide guidance and tips to help you develop your skills and bring the scene to life.
Expect a relaxed, creative environment, light refreshments to keep you energised, and the chance to connect with fellow artists. The live harp performance will add a special touch, making this a truly memorable event.
